As an important manifestation of product marketing and cultural promotion for brand owners, commercial terminal image display provides a platform for retail enterprises to exchange information and showcase products. Consumers gain a more direct and profound understanding of products and corporate culture through it, thereby enhancing sales volume. The commercial terminal image display industry combines functional attributes of sales realization with cultural attributes of creative design, covering the entire industry chain from brand image planning, scheme design, production and installation to project management.
The development of the commercial terminal image display industry has been accompanied by the transformation of the retail industry, with retail formats emerging in the form of chain terminals playing a significant role in driving the industry's progress. Since the mid-19th century, the retail industry has undergone "four revolutions", namely the mass retail stage, the online retail stage, the e-commerce low-profit stage, and the new retail stage. The mass retail stage officially ushered in the marketization of the retail industry, with chain brands occupying an important position in residents' consumption. In order to maintain the distinctiveness, prominence, and uniformity of their own images, convey corporate culture, and attract consumers, while accelerating the speed of chain network expansion and saving terminal construction costs, various chain brands have vigorously carried out the design and construction of VI (Visual Identity) and SI (Space Identity) systems. The VI system, or visual identity system, is a complete and systematic visual expression system centered around logos, standard fonts, and standard colors, converting abstract concepts such as corporate philosophy, corporate culture, service content, and corporate norms into specific symbols to shape a unique corporate image. The SI system, or corporate terminal image recognition system, is a three-dimensional extension and application of the brand visual identity system on commercial terminals. With the development and growth of chain brands and the continuous increase in brand owners' investment in the construction of VI and SI systems, the commercial terminal image display industry has also flourished.
The current new retail model requires retail brands to more accurately capture consumer psychology, grasp mainstream consumption trends, and achieve precise marketing. Therefore, collecting and integrating user data through offline terminals to better calibrate marketing directions has gradually become an important strategic marketing development direction for retail brands. Brands have also raised higher requirements for the creative design and presentation of terminal image displays.
